The Story of Jonah
Jonah was a disobedient person to God and he is also not considerate of other people. But who are these people? These people are called Ninevites. But how and why did Jonah didn't consider the Ninevites? He did not deliver God's message to the Ninevites because he thought that they should perish in hell because they were really wicked.
Jonah ministered in Israel by delivering God's messages to Israel in the reign of Jeroboam II. Jonah was called by God to deliver a message to Nineveh. It is the capital city of Assyria. Jonah was told by God to warn Nineveh about their wickedness and His coming judgment.
Refusing at first to God's call to preach in Nineveh, Jonah tried to escape to Tarshish but God disciplined Jonah by letting a big fish eat him. Then Jonah said sorry to God and God gave him another chance. So Jonah went to Nineveh and preached there.
