Corrie or Cornelia Ten boom was a hero because she helped hide the Jews in world war 2. You know why? Because they had compassion on them. They hid many Jews in their house. When Nazi soldiers come to their house the Jews hide behind Corrie's closet. This is what it looks like (left picture). That is her in the picture showing the way to the hiding place.
Now lets start with her livelihood. Corrie had 3 siblings and their names are Betsie Ten Boom, Willem Ten Boom, Arnolda Johanna Ten Boom. Their parent's are Casper and Cornelia Ten Boom. It's sad thing that Cornelia died. But her father was still alive and his job is making watches. Now she was growing and Corrie had her own workstation but she don't use it much.
Now we will learn how her family saved many Jews. God prepared everything for her like friends in the hospital and someone who can get her ration cards and others. Corrie's family also had friends that helped them hide the Jews like Rex helped them for ration cards. Someone also helped them build the hiding place for the Jews. Someone also helped them to build warnings and strategy to warn them not to go in. They also prepared themselves when there are Nazi soldiers outside the door.
The Prison
One day, they were doing the daily routine when they heard banging in the door then the Jews all went up. The old and the young Jews went up but the problem is that Corrie and his family could be all in danger. They could be arrested for denying to tell the truth and so they did. The Nazi took Corrie and her family to the truck and the truck drove them to the prison. So they spent many nights and days at prison. They are really striving because the prison guards are very rude and mean. The punishments are really harsh some punishments are even death even though you just woke late or had a baby and others. But Corrie was the only one to survive. Casper Ten Boom died of old age with harsh treatment and Betsie died of over fatigue and one harsh punishment by one lady but Betsie forgive the lady but Corrie hardly forgave that woman. But before Betsie died she said to Corrie go tell them what we experienced. But before that I will tell you how Willem died. Willem died in an execution. Back to that.
The Missionary Journey
Corrie did what Betsie said. Then she went to 62 countries preaching the Word of God in her experience in world war 2. But how did Corrie go to 62 countries when she is in jail. It was all in God's power. She was mistakenly released. I bet the guard that released her was beheaded or executed because in Germany in those days the leaders was so easily tempered that every time that their men made a mistake they can be executed or tortured before executed. So that is all in God's power. How amazing is that and even the Jews that she hid was safe and all her clocks were safe too (remember their family's work was watch making or repairing!)
That is all for today!
